This is my son's new kitten Hermione. We adopted her shortly after our other cat had died. She's extremely feisty, but hilarious.
I think I used up 3 microns filling in the black. But I liked the texture versus coloring the black in with a marker.

Nice drawing! the reult turns really great, love how you do with her fuzzy hair.
drawing animal is always a challenge for me.
a really effective sketch captures some of the subject's personality. You certainly did that here!
Thanks Occam and Sherry. I've never been able to draw fur. This one seemed to work out o.k. though.
Dude, there's these things called BRUSH PENS! GOogle it. Sheesh. hobo
Ha, ha, no doubt Dan. I wanted the scratchy fur look...it was worth the sacrifice.
Luckily, when I was home, before I got underway, I saw this post here and took my art shop gift card to the store and bought myself a gang load of micron pens. I'm really happy about the detail out of them. Thanks Ryan.
microns are the tops.. i don't think i have the patience for a refillable job. i had a cat once who looked a lot like this. i love the black and white cats. they seem to populate my neighborhood around here.
